Wyvernstales LARP

Background

“The year is 1144, Empress Maude has returned to Normandy and King Stephen has been acclaimed King by the Barons. All is at last peaceful in our green country, and yet trouble seems to have hovered over our troubled land. The nobility seem not to feel it, but the cross is heavy on us who have forsaken the world. We see trouble in the deep woods, more than the habitual bandits who gather there and murder travellers in these dark times, more even than the troublesome soldiers who have been left without work and cause mischief amongst the surfs. There is talk of children disappearing, of dark rites being performed in the deep forest. Old things creep from forgotten places, things that were once remembered and seek remembrance again. The monastic orders however must stand silent, we must hear not the cries of the peasantry for the flock is not our concern, and we do not partake of the world anymore. However, others do and I have given over the last of my life to noting the names and the deeds of those who would otherwise be forgotten. Some are not Christian, others renegades but all have given their oath to investigate this darkness. It saddens me that we cannot sing their praises, give song to their valour but many of these walk outside of God and the church must keep its involvement secret.”

Events

Regular One Day Events:

We run regular one day events on the first sunday of everymonth at a variety of settings around southampton and the new forest, including west wood, Itchen Valley country and Hut Wood. Details will be posted on our callender function and forum as they are finalised.

Weekend Events:

Once a year for FairyTales we run a weekend event, the idea is to keep it cheap, imersive and to have as much fun as possible. We get the best plot we can, (several layers of it), we hire the best site we can afford and try to get traders and the wonderful Chrimson Moon tavern if possible.

(Crewing is always free and we try to make sure you have a fantastic time as well while helping to run the game and keep the plot moving.)

Book Early because we have limited player spaces!

 Once Upon a Time . . .

Once again the church has need of its quiet agents.

In Wales a small village weeps for the loss of its children, bandits infest the nearby caves and woodland driving fears before them and making audacious claims against the village’s new headman.

Can these children be saved?

What terrible fate has stolen these children from there homes?

Only your cunning and stout heart can be relied on to answer these questions.
